Terry Rossman, George Rossman

It is with great sadness that we announce George P. Rossman III, known as "Terry" to everyone, was killed in a car accident on July 10, 2008. He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen "Katha" Soens, and four children; his family in Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania and California; and many, many friends throughout the country. Drive safely. Terry was killed by the poor driving of two experienced drivers who just weren't taking enough care — resulting in this tragedy. He is so missed. Terry Rossman had been at the forefront of the mortgage industry for more than 25 years, most recently with Irwin Financial. He has worked in six states and two countries developing new products, defining new processes and improving the overall level of customer service. His expertise included reducing expenses using process improvement and new technology, reducing cycle time from application to funding and improving asset quality. Read more ››

Terry worked for both large established mortgage companies and start-up operations. He managed underwriting, processing, funding and all servicing functions. One of his areas of specialization was fraud control.

As a consultant to mortgage and financial services companies, Terry assisted with third-party reviews of organizations, making solid recommendations, and planning their implementation. He helped with:

• reducing expenses through process improvement
• reducing expenses through new technology
• reducing cycle time from application to funding
• reducing risk exposure through fraud controls
• improving quality control
• improving customer satisfaction
